PVE 32VMR ringvibrators installing 270.000 meters of “cast in place piles” in Switzerland

To construct the foundation of a big warehouse in Switzerland the principal decided to use cast in place piles instead of prefabricated concrete piles.
Approximately 7500 piles will be installed with a diameter of 355 mm and a length of 35 meter.

To install the piles the contractor used a PVE 32VMR high frequency ringvibrator with variable eccentric moment mounted on a Liebherr LRB 255 piling rig.

To improve the penetration-speed of the pile in very dense sand and gravel layers a special low pressure water jet system is applied.

In total 270.000 meter concrete pile will be installed in approximately six month by using three Liebherr LRB 255 piling rigs and three PVE 32VMR ringvibrators.
The PVE 32VMR operates at a speed of 2100 Rpm, producing 1600 kN centrifugal force.
